All Natural Rose Petal Scrub

in May 16, 2015

If you received roses for Mother's Day, chances are they look like mine do: droopy and starting to wilt.

I always hate throwing away roses but now you can give them new life by turning them into an all natural rose petal scrub!

This scrub smells amazing and it's super easy to make.  Here's how:

Cut off one rose from the stem and pluck off the petals.  You won't need all of the petals, just 12-15 so you can throw away the wilted ones on the outside.  You will probably find that there are plenty of nice petals inside the rose.

Next, measure out 1 1/2 cups of sugar and 1/4 cup of baby oil.

Dump everything into a food processor.

Put the lid on and make sure everything is in place on your machine.  Next, you will want to pulse your food processor 15-20 times so that everything gets chopped and mixed up but the scrub is still soft and fluffy.

When you finish pulsing, your scrub should look like this:

It will look and smell amazing!  Now you can store it in any airtight container until you are ready to use it.

I used a glass container but our Re-Play snack pods also work well!  Just be sure that you do keep it in a sealed, air-tight container since it does not have any type of preservatives.  This is a great way to pamper yourself or give it as a gift to a friend, grandma, teacher or babysitter.
