This Pinterest craft was super easy and kid friendly. It turned out just like the picture and we hand no trouble figuring it out. This craft is a Pinterest WIN!
What they say you need:
- Cheesecloth
- Fabric Stiffener
- Googly Eyes
- Styrofoam Balls
- Glue
- Thread
- Small water bottle or similar item
What they say to do:
Began by cutting 8×8 inch squares of cheesecloth. You could make these as big or small as you like.
Once you have your square cut, place the Styrofoam ball on top of an opened water bottle. This will help give the ghosts head a round shape. I decided to leave the Styrofoam ball attached once they dried but you can remove.
Dip the cheesecloth into the fabric stiffener and remove any excess. You want to make sure it’s fully covered so that it will form into the desired shape.
Place the cheesecloth on top of the Styrofoam ball and drape over the bottle; allow 4-6 hours to dry or preferably overnight.
Once your ghosts are dry, glue eyes then hang with thread.
We chose to hang ours from our outdoor chandelier but these would be perfect indoor as well.

What we used:
- Cheesecloth
- Fabric Stiffener
- One pack of small Googly Eyes
- Styrofoam Balls
- Elmer's Glue
- White Thread
- 3 Small water bottles
What we did:
We did most everything listed above. We did remove the Styrofoam balls. Our's were green instead of white, so they didn't match.
We did multiples at once so we suggest having enough water bottles and Styrofoam balls to do you whole project.
Tip: We tied ribbon around the end of the Styrofoam ball while they dried to give the ghost more definition.
Conclusion: We love this craft. It was super simple and easy enough for all ages. We defiantly recommend giving this one a try!
Happy Crafting~
