Healthy SummerTreats With Beriies: Strawberry Chia Jam – Re-Play

For this challenge I made Strawberry Chia Jam. It is so delicious and easy to make. This is free of refined sugar and preservatives that you would normally find in store bought jars. This recipe used all organic ingredients.

Ingredients:
1 cup fresh strawberries
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp chia seeds
1/3 water

Instructions:
1 In a bowl, add chia seeds and water. Stir until well combined. Let it sit on counter for 20 until it reaches a gelatinous consistency.
2 In a small saucepan, add all the ingredients and stir in at medium heat.
3 Bring mixture to a rolling boil at medium high heat while stirring often.
4 Mash strawberries using a masher. Keep stirring.
5 At this point the mixture will get thickened.
6 Pour the jam on a bowl and let it cool off.
7 Add chia mixture.
